SERVICE SITES
The most important factor we look for in a service site is whether their site
can facilitate a meaningful day of service for our volunteers while
simultaneously impacting the Tallahassee Community in a positive way. We
feel there are areas in the Tallahassee community that could utilize our
support, but who simply haven’t heard of our organization. This year, we aim
to partner with other service organizations and plan far in advance, so we can
coordinate meaningful projects together.
Additionally, please note the following restrictions for projects:
- No use of power tools or chemicals
- Cannot require use of specialized skills
- Cannot last more than 4 hours (The Little and Big Event will take place between
9am to 2pm)
A complete list of Service Site guidelines can be found here (FSU 2024
Service Site Guidelines )
What does it mean to be a Service Site at our events?
As a service site, you will be able to request a specific number of volunteers to help
complete a project. Common projects that have been requested in previous years
include: gardening, raking, leaning, mulch spreading, weeding, painting, sorting
donations, archival work, and general spring cleaning.
